Croatian President Ivo Josipovic visited Croatia Control Ltd (CCL) today. ‘I have assured myself of an excellently organised company, state-of-the-art technology, highly trained staff and services on par with top European standards in air traffic management, President Josipovic said, pointing out that CCL is the Croatian fourth biggest exporter of services.¸
Traffic delays in the first eight months 2013 were reduced by nearly 70 percent, which is now 6 seconds per flight on average, while the unit rate is the lowest among seven states within the FAB CE. Ninety-five percent of CCL’s annual income of HRK 600 million is accrued from foreign airline companies, and about 22 million or 37 percent of the income is allocated to state and local budgets.
Director Bilać also announced a transition to the new ATM system, which is scheduled on 14 February 2013, within the 30 million worth COOPANS Project of cooperation among air navigation service providers from Ireland, Denmark, Sweden and Austria with the manufacturer Thales. The transition to the new ATM system will ensure additional strength on the European market, thus contributing to an increase in efficiency, capacity and safety of air traffic.
