Since the Split Airport control area was closed yesterday due to a drone, Croatia Control would like to draw your attention to the following information on the legal use of unmanned aircraft:
Drone flying within 5 km from the airport reference point (runway) is strictly prohibited without a valid permit of the competent air traffic control.
Flying in the control area in the broader vicinity of an airport and outside the circle of 5 km is allowed by the automated procedure via the AMC Portal Mobile application to all registered drone users, up to the maximum altitude of 50 m.
We would like to urge all drone users to register at the Croatian Civil Aviation Agency, and for airspace use on Croatia Control’s AMC Portal, where you can also get information on all real-time flying restrictions.
