A two-day unmanned aerial vehicle workshop DroneDays was held for the first time on March 26-27, 2019 at the Zagreb Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, where Croatia Control (CCL), in collaboration with the first drone pilot school DPO Crew Croatia and the Croatian Mountain Rescue Service, presented the AMC Portal and the AMC Portal Mobile application, its unique airspace management tools that are in operation in the Republic of Croatia.
The AMC Portal is a centralized web-tool informing the users about the status and all future planned activities in airspace. Its mobile application, the AMC Portal Mobile, enables drone operators to make airspace reservations simply and quickly, with the ultimate goal of making all airspace users safer.
Visitors had the opportunity to attend lectures given by experts from the industry and academia, end-users, and the representatives of regulatory bodies who clarified the legal framework of flying a drone. The program also included an exhibition area and a flying zone where the newest aerial robotics technologies and equipment were demonstrated.
The workshop was organized by the Laboratory for Robotics and Intelligent Control Systems of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, and co-financed by the European Commission under the AeRoTwin project.
