Croatia Control and DFS Aviation Services hosted the 1st South East ATM Summit (SEAS) in Cavtat, Dubrovnik region, on September 26 and 27, 2022. Remote Towers, Training Opportunities, Airspace Management, and Unmanned Aircraft System Traffic Management (UTM) were the main topics of the event.
The Summit gathered CEOs and COOs of air navigation service providers from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Germany, Kosovo, the Republic of North Macedonia, Serbia, Slovakia, and Slovenia who discussed current and future challenges in air traffic management. The focus was on new technologies and services for the optimization of the European ATM Network after the COVID-19 crisis.
This event resulted from a cooperation agreement signed early this year by CCL and DFS Aviation Services to set the course for future cooperation in commercial business, primarily covering the areas of aviation training and consulting, as well as the implementation of joint customer projects for ANSPs and airports in South East Europe.
“We are pleased to have an opportunity to present the implementation of ATCO in-house training as well as the AMC Portal, specially designed for drone operations management, hoping to offer these services on the European market and to the countries in the region,” said Vlado Bagarić, Director General of CCL.
Andreas Pötzsch, Managing Director of DFS Aviation Services, added that “SEAS was a very successful Summit in a highly interesting region, where we took the opportunity to give insights in our Remote/Virtual Tower activities. Based on this positive momentum, we plan to repeat the event in the near future”.
